- I am Jeff Lebesch, the creator of Fat Tire Amber Ale (1985) and Founder of New Belgium Brewing Company, Inc. Along with co-founder Kim Jordan, we started the brewing company in the basement of our house in 1991. This web site is dedicated to the formation and history of New Belgium Brewing Company, Inc. A much larger and detailed historic content is in the works, check back regularly.
